Fabio Wardley and Frazer Clarke are set to face each other in the ring in March at London’s O2 Arena in March. The hotly anticipated heavyweight fight will see British defending champion Wardley and Olympic medallist Clarke, 32, battle it out in BOXXER’s ‘Bad Blood’ showdown for the British and Commonwealth Titles.

Defending champion Wardley is on a stellar run of 17 fights undefeated with a 16 KO streak. The 29-year-old from Ipswich tore apart David Adeleye on the Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou undercard in October when the two met in Saudi Arabia.

He will be up against Tokyo 2020 Olympic Bronze Medallist Clarke, 32, just eight fights and six KOs into his professional career. Last year, ‘Big Fraze’ went ten rounds against former world title challenger Mariusz Wach before defeating David Allen in the sixth to continue his hot streak.

In a February 7 news conference, Clarke had some choice words regarding his opponent's white collar background, BBC reported. He said: “I would absolutely do what he’s done and he could never do what I’ve done and that’s the fact of it.

“That white collar boxing, ultimately it’s just the hardest kids in town having a scrap. They just want to go and have a punch up in a random social club, sell a few tickets and become the talk of their town.”

In response, defending champion Wardley said he feels the fight has come “too soon” for Clarke and slammed Clarke’s previous opponents as having “no ambition” and simply showing up to get paid.
