Chilling new details about how rapper 'kept pregnant woman hostage for years'

A Houston rapper who allegedly held a woman captive for years is back in jail for seemingly violating his bond conditions, and terrifying details are emerging in the warrant over the alleged sexual abuse and kidnapping.

The allegations of kidnapping and sexual assault against 52-year-old Lee Carter, who goes by the stage name "Viper," first surfaced last month, and detailed how he is reported to have picked up 32-year-old pregnant woman while she was panhandling in south Houston before bringing her to his house.

The terrified woman told police Carter locked her up, raped her, and forced her to take drugs, including crack cocaine, for four to five years. While records don't show if she ever gave birth and, if she did, what happened to the baby, the woman, officials said, weighed only about 70 pounds when she was found.

"At one point, maybe a year ago now, the cops come banging on my door claiming somebody had called from inside the house and was kidnapped or not able to leave on her own," neighbour Jedediah Beights said when he was initially arrested. "Right then, as the cops are standing at my door, a gal comes crawling out that window just there, just clawing her way out, pregnant, eight months."

The victim asked to go to the hospital while being held in captivity, according to court documents, but Carter refused. She also allegedly asked to use the bathroom and asked for food and drugs repeatedly. The information comes from text messages documented in a new warrant tied to the case. She may not have been his only victim.

The warrant reveals that while police were investigating the kidnapping case, they discovered that a second woman had died on Carter's property around the same time he was reported to have been holding the first woman hostage. The documentation doesn't go into details about how the second woman died or address whether or not Carter was involved, but understandably speculation is growing.

In one of multiple text messages highlighted in the warrant, the pregnant woman texted Carter, "I'm dying." He brutally responded "Quit the dramatics."

The kidnapped woman was locked in a garage bedroom with the windows boarded up and a tube sticking out of the room for ventilation, police reported. Carter bonded out of jail last month and while a judge said he wasn't supposed to have contact with the pregnant woman, he did, which led to his re-arrest.

Carter is due back in court in two weeks.
