Tyson Fury's instant reaction to "conspiracy theories" over Oleksandr Usyk fight

Tyson Fury was 'laughing his head off' over conspiracy theories about his training camp for Oleksandr Usyk.

Heavyweight champion Fury was supposed to fight Usyk this Saturday in Saudi Arabia but pulled out after being cut over his right eye in sparring. Rumours were circulating about Fury being 'turned over' by his sparring partners before the fight was cancelled, but the Brit insisted his preparations were going well and even showed off the great shape he was in.

“It boggles belief, we were looking at some of it laughing our heads off. These conspiracy theories, it was actually very funny. Old Johnny Nelson, he’s got a ‘mole’ in our camp. We’ve been digging holes everywhere because there’s a mole here somewhere," Fury's manager Spencer Brown told iFL TV about the rumours.

"There’s a ‘grass’ in the camp, there’s an ‘informant’ all we need is the gestapo there to find out who the grass was, but we never found them. Look, whoever was grassing couldn’t have been a very good grass because he got it all wrong. Jai Opetaia knocking Tyson out? It’s like Mount Vesuvius falling down one afternoon.

“It didn’t happen, it didn’t get anywhere near happening. Tyson was on fire. Of course there’s somebody [talking about what was going on in camp], I don’t think it’s malicious, bit of pillow talk, few white lies going about, few misconceptions. I don’t think there’s any grass.”

The undisputed clash has been rescheduled for May 18 and Saudi royal advisor Turki Alalsheikh has promised to fine Fury or Usyk £10million of their own money if they can't make the new date. Fury is seemingly in high spirits as he issued a five-fight wishlist that included two fights with Anthony Joshua just days after pulling out of the undisputed fight.

“I keep hearing talk from people that I should retire or that I’m going to retire soon or whatever,” Fury said in a video. “I ain’t retiring anywhere. I’ve got two fights with Usyk for the undisputed, twice, then I’m going to fight AJ at least once, maybe twice if there’s a rematch... if he wants one after the battering I’m going to give him."
