Matt Turner's wife Ashley Herron has revealed one of her husband's Nottingham Forest teammates broke her nose at a recent Premier League game.

Turner joined Forest from Arsenal last summer in a deal worth around £10million and his young family made the move with him. The goalkeeper tied the knot with Ash, a former NFL cheerleader, in 2022 and have two children together.

Their lives are set to be featured in a new Amazon Prime Video docuseries called 'Married to the Game' which follows a number of current and former Premier League stars and their wives and girlfriends.

And in an interview with talkSPORT, Ash insisted her life is not all "glitz and glamour" as she revealed Forest defender Gonzalo Montiel recently broke her nose with an errant shot while warming up before a match.

"I've got a broken nose right now because I went to a game and got hit in the nose," she said. "It happened during the warm up. It was Montiel. I don't think it's glitz and glamour."

Turner signed for Arsenal from New England Revolution in February 2022, but did not link up with the Gunners until June. Before making the move to England, the couple found out Ash was pregnant with son Easton and also got married.

Easton was born just two days after Arsenal officially announced that Turner had joined the club and Ash has also opened up about the struggles of their move across the pond.

"I don't think I was necessarily prepared for the intensity of the Premier League," she explained.

"We came from MLS and obviously that's not as high profile. This league is just developed in people's blood and it's a beautiful thing. The pressure for the players and their families is something I don't think you can prepare for.

"You have to just go through the journey and experience it and that's where you really learn the ins and outs of everything. We moved over to Arsenal when I was eight months pregnant and I had to move before Matt finished up his season. I came to the country without a place to live.

"It's definitely different but I wouldn't trade it for the world because I feel like Matt and I have grown closer for this experience. It doesn't make things easier not being able to have your family next door to call on and we're grateful we have a very supportive family but that was definitely difficult."
