Bhavna and her husband Darren to Instagram on Monday to share a few photos from the special occasion with their followers on the platform. The joint post included photos of the couple stood outside a temple. They revealed that the blessing had been on February 9, writing in the caption: "9.02.24 Finally had our Tamil wedding blessing in Mauritius."

The photos showed Bhavna - who was on Coronation Street from 2016 until her character's death in 2019 - modelling a red and white saree at the location. She had accessorised with pieces of gold jewellery and sported a floral garland.

Bhavna also shared footage recently of herself showcasing her saree, which is understood to have been produced by a local retailer. She added that she did her own hair for the blessing, but hired someone to do her makeup. She wrote alongside photos of her outfit: "Obligatory Indian pics."

The blessing comes almost six years after Bhavna and Darren got married to each other in a ceremony that was held at Thornton Manor on the Wirral in 2018. Photos were shared on social media at the time and the bride was understood to have worn two different outfits on the day.

The nuptials, which were held the year prior to Bhavna's departure from Coronation Street, were attended by several of her co-stars from the long-running soap opera. This included her colleague Faye Brookes, who played the bride's on-screen love interest Kate Connor on the show.

Others guests at Bhavna's wedding to fellow actor Darren included Lucy Fallon and Julia Goulding. The pair are best known for their roles as Bethany Platt and Shona Platt respectively, with them both still cast members on the show.
