Victoria Beckham and her daughter-in-law Nicola Peltz were seen getting along well at Nicola's recent film premiere.

It is understood that the two have finally settled their differences. Victoria, 49, and Nicola, 29, who married Victoria's son Brooklyn in 2022, allegedly had a disagreement over Nicola's wedding dress design. However, a source said they decided to make peace for the sake of the family.

"Victoria took a step back, so Nicola took a step forward and it allowed them to resolve things and move on," the source revealed. The insider added that Victoria just wants what's best for her son Brooklyn. "She just wants the best for her son, and Brooklyn made it clear that Nicola was the number one woman in his life so they had to resolve things," the source continued.

David Beckham, Victoria's husband and former footballer, was also said to have played a key role in resolving the issue because family means everything to him. The first disagreement between Victoria and Nicola reportedly happened over the wedding dress for Nicola's £3 million Palm Beach wedding to Brooklyn in April 2022, but there were conflicting stories about what really happened.

There were rumours that Nicola "refused" to wear her VB design wedding gown, while others said Victoria had declined to make her dress. Speaking to OK!, a source claimed it took some time for the family to adjust to the new dynamic after the wedding. "It's difficult at times because Victoria is used to being the boss and ruling everything she's the matriarch of the family."

They added: "Nicola and Victoria are both very strong characters, so it was either going to end in them losing the relationship Victoria and David have with Brooklyn, or the issues needed to be put to bed to bring them all back together." As the young couple nears their second wedding anniversary, the source claimed that Victoria accepted it was time to move on.

After sharing photos of the whole Beckham clan - including Brooklyn and Nicola - celebrating Christmas together, Victoria made the ultimate peace offering in her recent public posts from the film premiere on 3 February. Joined by her youngest son Cruz Beckham, Victoria accompanied Brooklyn and Nicola to the premiere of Lola, which Nicola stars in and directed, and later wrote a glowing message to the young star on her Instagram account.

She wrote: "@NicolaAnnePeltzBeckham we could not be more proud of you! Congratulations on your incredible film, Lola. officially in theatres February 9th! Kisses xx." Nicola responded to the message with a heartfelt comment: "i love you beyond.. thank you for supporting me tonight and also i'm so obsessed with my custom VB look!!"
