Loose Women legend Linda Robson says Queen Camilla adores Birds of a Feather - and revealed Sarah Ferguson loves the show so much she always sends her a Christmas card!

Camilla is well known as being a huge fan of Strictly Come Dancing but that's not her only guilty pleasure when it comes to the box. The actress says the royal can't get enough of the classic sitcom about sisters Sharon and Tracy, which first aired back in 1989 and also starred Pauline Quirk and Lesley Joseph.

“We just didn’t realise how big Birds Of A Feather was going to be,” recalled Linda in a chat with OK! Magazine. “People still love it - and it was a huge part of my life. Even Camilla loved it. She came to ITV once, as she wanted to meet the Birds of A Feather girls. She was just so lovely. We ended up talking about our grandchildren!"

On another memorable occasion, Linda recalled the time she attended a garden party at Buckingham Palace, in the presence of Camilla - who also loves Strictly Come Dancing.. “I had my husband Mark with me, and Lesley had Lizzie, her daughter. Camilla came over, grabbed me and Lesley and got us into the royal enclosure as she remembered meeting us. Rosemary Schrager had made this amazing cake for the occasion. We just left Mark and Lizzie looking at us, open-mouthed!"

It's certainly not the first time the 65-year-old has been in royal company. Speaking previously about the party at the palace, Linda said: “I had no shoes on at the time because I had blisters from the shoes I was wearing. I ended up walking around Buckingham Palace barefoot. Should have brought my slippers.”

The late Princess Diana was also thought to have been partial to the series. Linda says fans of her iconic sitcom Birds Of A Feather will still ask her about the iconic sitcom to this day. After more than two decades away from the sitcom, ITV commissioned a Christmas episode in 2020 but Pauline was not so keen and decided to walk away from the show. Linda said that she was upset but it wasn't going to be something that would ruin their friendship.

Linda said about that time: "I’m not going to lie and say Lesley and I weren’t disappointed. Of course we were. We were gutted and we couldn’t imagine going on without her. We were a trio – how could it possibly work without any one of us? But at the same time as all that sadness, there was acceptance and understanding, too."

After the news was announced, Linda said she knew that rumours would circulate that the pair had fallen out. She said: "Sure enough, the headlines were predictable, saying there was a ‘feud’ and ‘bad blood’ and that she’d quit because we were no longer speaking. It’s such bulls***. We tried to ignore it but it was difficult when it was all we were ever asked about."
