Channel 4 is reportedly bringing a raunchy new show to our screens in which contestants will get a chance to lose their virginity on a remote island with others who are looking to pop their cherries.

Sex experts will give guidance to those looking to go all the way under the sheets for the first time, with reports suggesting that the show will be called Virgin Island, on which men and women will be brought together for an experience they will never forget.

A TV insider told the media outlet: “There’s never been a TV show that pushes the boundaries quite like this — and probably never will be again. The aim is to hopefully have all the virgins find each other attractive, but if that fails then this is the plan B. These people are professionals who are constantly on hand for anything that may be required.”

There will be "sex surrogates" on hand to help those who are nervous when it comes to this big moment in their lives, with the show looking to start with sessions in which intimacy is discussed, according to The Sun. Participants will then move on to touch each other before moving on to more intimate practices. Psychological and physical problems can be overcome as the participants get closer to each other, with experts helping with any sticky moments.

Filming is expected to start later this year at a secret location and producers have not had any difficulty finding enough people who would be willing to lose their virginity in this TV experiment. A TV source told The Sun: “This is a bold social experiment as opposed to anything raunchy, so contributors shouldn’t feel afraid of coming forward.”

This comes after former soap star Sarah Jayne Dunn said that she knows which of her Hollyoaks co-stars had made a formal complaint against her after she launched an OnlyFans account. The 42-year-old was issued an ultimatum by Hollyoaks bosses in 2021, which led to a showdown with soap bosses and ultimately Sarah saw quitting the Channel 4 series.

The channel insisted that Sarah closed down her profile on the adult subscription site, saying that her racy shots were not sitting well with the soap's publicity. But Sarah refused and has said that it was the "best decision of her life" to continue with OnlyFans.

Speaking to The Sun, Sarah revealed that she knew who had complained. She said: "Apparently there is one person who complained. I think I know who that is now, I have my suspicions for sure. It was like any workplace — you get on with most people, but there will be a couple that you don’t. You can’t please everybody and you’re not going to get on with everyone. I think a lot of that boils down to their own insecurities and jealousies.”
