Next Chelsea transfer target emerges as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang call explained
Nearly five months into the job, Graham Potter still hasn't got going as Chelsea manager.
The Blues slumped to a 0-0 draw with West London rivals Fulham on Friday, despite having spent a total of £323million on eight new players in the January transfer window. Co-controlling owner Todd Boehly is certainly willing to back Potter financially, but the Stamford Bridge faithful are growing frustrated with their side's below-par performances.
There's also no shortage of debate off the pitch, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's omission from Chelsea's Champions League update squad making the headlines before the game on Friday. Meanwhile, the Blues are facing criticism from their Premier League rivals for their wild spending - but Boehly isn't ready to slow down.
Here's a round-up of the latest news from Stamford Bridge.
Osimhen becomes next target
Chelsea have set their sights on beating Manchester United to the signing of Napoli striker Victor Osimhen this summer. Having already splashed out £600million since Todd Boehly and his consortium arrived at Stamford Bridge, the Blues are prepared to markedly increase their spending by acquiring the 24-year-old Nigerian.

Potter lifts lid on Aubameyang omission
Graham Potter has hinted at the difficult conversation which he had with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after leaving the Chelsea striker out of the Blues' Champions League squad for the second half of the season. Aubameyang, 33, made way as three new signings joined Chelsea's European roster ahead of the knockout stages.
"Pierre is a professional and, of course, I understand he will be disappointed," Potter explained following Friday's 0-0 stalemate. "It was a tough decision, a tough call. We had three coming in and two had to go out. He was the one that missed out, he's done nothing wrong at all."

Fernandez fee complicates Liverpool's Bellingham bid
Chelsea's £105m signing of Enzo Fernandez is set to have ramifications across the globe. Not only does the transfer give the Blues one of world football's most talented midfielders, but the move could prevent Premier League rivals Liverpool from securing another.
As explained by Caught Offside, the Reds' pursuit of Jude Bellingham has just got even tougher. Borussia Dortmund now feel that the English sensation can't be any cheaper than Fernandez, boosting his asking price which Liverpool were hoping to keep as low as possible.
