Strictly Come Dancing star Giovanni Pernice and model Molly Brown are in the process of 'getting to know each other'

Strictly Come Dancing star Giovanni Pernice has waltzed into a new romance.

The 33-year-old has been single for almost a year now, following his split from BBC co-star Jowita Przystal in March. It's now understood that Giovanni - who is currently touring the country with a solo show - is dating once again. Sources say the professional dancer has been on dates with 24-year-old model Molly Brown. And though it's early days, the pair are said to have hit it off instantly.

One source said: "Giovanni and Molly met a few weeks ago, and though it is very early days, things seem to be going well between them. He has been keeping things quiet because he didn’t want too much pressure on as they’re getting to know each other. But the signs so far seem to be positive and he has let a few of his friends in on the secret. It’s very much a case of watch this space."

It is not yet known how Giovanni met his new love, but the new romance comes almost a year after he split from fellow pro dancer Jowita, 29, in March. The pair’s relationship had been made public after they were pictured on dates together. And Giovanni appeared to confirm the romance soon after by admitting the couple were a "we".

Asked about Jowita in an interview he replied: "This was my New Year’s resolution. We are not talking about anything." Giovanni, who joined Strictly in 2015, told last year that he would love to settle down and have a family in future - but admitted he wasn’t ready yet. Speaking to pal Anton Du Beke on their BBC show Adventures in Sicily, he also revealed his mum is constantly asking him about his love life.

In a conversation around a campfire, Giovanni told Strictly judge Anton that his mum constantly asks him when he'll find 'the one,' going on to admit: "Of course, I want a family one day. You just have to find the right person first. I am just very focused on my career at the moment.."

Giovanni went on to tell Anton how he feels conflicted about wanting a serious relationship while juggling his successful career. The dancer - who lifted the Glitterball trophy with Rose Ayling-Ellis in 2021 - confessed: "It is a tricky thing. There is a fine line about wanting to be in a relationship and be with somebody because you get lonely."
