Kylian Mbappe has made three staggering financial demands in a bold effort to seal his long-awaited blockbuster transfer to Real Madrid.

With Mbappe, 25, due to be out of contract at PSG come the end of June, the French superstar officially can leave the Ligue 1 champions on a free. But that's as cheap it'll get it for Real, who for the best part of two years have been arduously engineering a move for Mbappe which would almost certainly break records.

A report from Spain has outlined three jaw-dropping demands from the PSG forward which start with a eye-watering gross salary of €50million (£42.6m) per year. That would blow his potential future teammates out of the water, as stars such as Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior would only be earning around half as much, according to Cadena SER.

On top of that, Mbappe wants a signing bonus worth a stunning €125m (£106m). This is in place of the likely much higher transfer fee which Real would've been forced pay had Mbappe still been under contract this summer, and the extravagant fee will go to be split between him and his mother and agent, Fayza Lamari.

Mbappe's third demand - and that's disregarding matters on the pitch - is to retain a significant percentage of his image rights. Real prefer to retain the full rights of players but it's been suggested that Los Blancos would be willing to cede 60 per cent of them to appease the 25-year-old.

There's still the chance that Mbappe could further his stay in Paris for another year, though, as his contract has a clause to extend his lucrative deal until 2025. PSG marketed his contract, which was signed in May 2022, as a three-year deal but the final season actually needed to be triggered by the man himself.

When Mbappe informed Parc des Princes chiefs that he wouldn't be triggering that clause ahead of pre-season last summer, the former Monaco prodigy was dropped from PSG's squad but returned for their second league game of the season. Club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi stated after his comeback: "Kylian Mbappe is an incredible player and fantastic person. And the PSG team, on and off the field, has never been so united."

Mbappe maintains that he's fully committed to PSG - for now - and hopes to lead France to glory at the European Championships in Germany before representing his country at the Paris Olympic Games. Still, a transfer of this magnitude can get done.
