Hollyoaks has seemingly confirmed whether a twist is on the way over Ella Richardson's real killer, after fans "rumbled the truth".

Ste Hay actor Kieron Richardson has addressed theories that his character didn't really kill Ella last month during the horror car crash stunt. Ste caused a pile-up after speeding, as he tried to get his young daughter Leah Barnes to hospital to save her life.

Leah had suffered alcohol poisoning and was choking, causing Ste to take his eyes off the road. We later learned that he ran over and killed Leah's friend Ella in the accident, before he sped off and left the scene.

No one has discovered his involvement in the crash yet, while spoilers for next week reveal he's set to make a killer confession. Felix Westwood has been blamed for the crash and Ella's death, while it's known Felix did not hit Ella with his car so surely it's only a matter of time until Ste could be exposed.

Now, actor Kieron has responded to the idea that someone else other than Ste ran over and killed Ella. While one of her boots was shown lodged in his front wheel, seemingly confirming his crime, fans have been convinced it's all a red herring.

Viewers suggested somebody else killed Ella at the scene, and perhaps Ste drove over her boot instead. But now the truth has been revealed, with Kieron spilling the beans on who really is to blame.

He also revealed the truth would come out at some point. He revealed: "I think in real life the guilt would take over and at some point he would have to tell, obviously we live in a soap world so it's going to come out to everybody at some point, it just has to.

"I think as a young girl to find out your father's killed your best friend, and let’s not forget Leah was in the car when it happened, and Ste wouldn’t have been in that situation if Leah didn’t drink at the rave. I see a lot of the audience feedback, like no Ste wouldn't do that, he just ran over a boot, it was somebody else.

"I really don't think there is a twist, but then again, it's Hollyoaks, so never say never but as far as I’m aware Ste did kill Ella, so sorry."

Hollyoaks is available to stream on Channel 4's streaming service now, while it also airs Mondays to Fridays on E4 at 7PM.* Follow Mirror Celebs and TV on , , , , , and .
