More welcome improvements arrive in both the PC version of Pocketpair’s continuing global phenomenon thanks to the latest patch.

Whether it’s finding the best base locations to set up shop or trying to figure out what it is Ancient Technology Points actually do, nearly everyone at least knows someone playing Palworld. That’s why whenever a new round of Palworld patch notes drop it’s worth paying attention, even if those playing it on Xbox Series X|S are unfortunately still playing catch up to those playing on PC via Steam. This inherent disparity is still the case, with Palworld on PC being updated to v0.1.4.1, as Xbox stays one update behind.

While the changes made in v0.1.4.0 were large, there are two main fixes the Palworld patch notes for update v0.1.4.1 address. One relates to an issue where weapons equipped by players would disappear in some instances when a grenade is thrown. The second fixes a problem where the displayed capture probability of Pal Spheres showed an increase, but didn’t actually result in such. Developer Pocketpair cites that “an internal processing bug” was to blame for the latter glitch.

The list of fixes update v0.1.4.1 provides is otherwise relatively small, but Pocketpair signs of the Palworld patch notes saying there’s still lots more it wants to tackle. And so it will be “development placing top priority on fixing major problems and issues” presumably as more are discovered and as players continue to report them.

Major Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the game would always crash and save data would be corrupted when the total number of Pals captured by the guild reached approximately 7000.
  • In the previous patch, save data that had already been in this state (for servers, the server's world data) remained in a broken state that made it impossible to load, but after applying this patch it will be resolved and will load properly.
  • Fixed an issue where some weapons equipped by other players would disappear when a player used a grenade in multiplayer.
  • Fixed an issue where, although the displayed capture probability increased when the capture power was strengthened with Lifmunk Effigies, the capture probability did not actually increase at all due to an internal processing bug.

Base related

  • Fixed an issue where if a Pal that was manually assigned to a breeding farm went to sleep, it would not wake up forever.
  • Fixed an issue where no wood would drop when Pal at the base felled a tree.

Others

  • Implemented countermeasures against some cheats and exploits.

Unfortunately, as made evident in Pocketpair’s original tweet, these various changes remain exclusive to just the PC version of Palworld for now. “Xbox version v0.1.1.4 will be released as soon as it is ready,” it reads. Even then, though, this will still place the Xbox Series X|S version behind the one on PC.
