Doja Cat confuses fans with dramatic tattoo transformation at the Grammys

Doja Cat has left fans in a state of shock - and confusion - after stepping out at the 2024 Grammy Awards with ornate tattoos covering her body. And one even adorned her forehead.

The singer and rapper, whose real name is Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, wore a dress by Dilara Findikoglu, and felt the need to have the designer's name in a Gothic font near her hairline. The dress that she wore was a sheer strapless number, which expertly displayed a mass of presumably temporary tattoos placed all over her body.

And as the 28-year-old hitmaker stepped out on the red carpet at the Grammys with her new inkings on display, the world was a little confused. Taking to social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, fans of the rapping sensation were quick to voice their opinions.

"THESE TATTOOS? DOJA CAT IS COMING TO TAKE THAT GRAMMY," gushed one who clearly liked the new ink. Another was clearly confused when they asked: "I haven’t followed Doja Cat in a while are all those tattoos new or are they fake?"

"The tattoos are a good look for Doja Cat," added someone else, while a fourth person wrote: "I hope those tattoos on Doja Cat are fake…" Another then said: "Since when does Doja Cat has all those tattoos?" While someone else added: "THE TATTOOS?!?? A SERVE OMGG."

The tattoos - which were presumably temporary - comprised of an eye-catching Gothic cathedral chest piece, and various other ornate pieces over her body, including her real tattooed Gothic-style keys on her upper arm. The sheer frock, which was in a corset style, that she wore also allowed for her presumably fake stomach inkings to be seen, as well as the tattoos on her thighs and lower legs.

Doja completed the look with some noughties-style glasses by fashion house Prada, some red heels, and a striking red lip. She then finished off the look with some ornate necklaces, earrings and rings, as well as a baseball cap atop her head.
