Thiago Silva's wife has appeared to demand Chelsea sack manager Mauricio Pochettino after yet another chastening defeat.

The Argentine was only appointed at the start of the season, but has endured a miserable first season in charge. And it only got worse on Sunday as Wolves thumped the Blues at Stamford Bridge, running out 4-2 winners.

Chelsea were booed off at half and full time, with the pressure only increasing on Pochettino. Silva scored a late consolation for the home side, but the game was over thanks to a stunning Matheus Cunha hat-trick for the visitors.

And taking to social media during the second half, Belle Silva posted: "It’s time to change. If you wait any longer it will be too late," accompanied with two blue hearts.

Less than 30 minutes after posting, it had racked up almost a million views, with many agreeing with her bold assessment. "Thank you for always speaking your mind," one said, while another replied: "Please tell them. The more you procrastinate, the more it looks unachievable."

There were more than a few hitting back at the comment however, with another replying: "Our husband might not be happy with your post though, seems a bit unprofessional."

Chelsea actually took the lead against Wolves, with Pochettino pushing for an immediate response to their midweek thrashing at Liverpool. Cole Palmer opened the scoring after an incisive Moises Caicedo pass, but that advantage lasted only three minutes as Cunha converted via a deflection.

And Wolves had the lead before the break when Rayan Ait-Nouri's shot was deflected in off Axel Disasi. Cunha then made it three on the hour mark after unbelievable work from the brilliant Pedro Neto.

The Brazilian was then given the chance to complete his first Premier League treble when Malo Gusto fouled him in the box. He had to wait to take his spot-kick, but coolly slotted into the bottom corner.

Silva then scored from a corner to spark hopes of a comeback, but it was all in vain as Wolves moved ahead of their opponents, plunging Chelsea into the bottom half of the table.

Speaking after the loss, Pochettino admitted he understood the frustration emanating from the terraces: "The perception is Chelsea should be in a different position but for different circumstances, we are not. One is maybe because we're not good enough.

"To understand the fans is really important. I feel sorry. We are disappointed like them but until the end we need to fight together. During the game we need to work together to get a good result."

He added: "Of course it's not nice situation. In football, you have to accept. With a club like Chelsea, with the expectation, you need to accept that. To be in this business, with this type of club, you need to be strong."
