A teacher has revealed how they took revenge on a group of students who will repeatedly cheat in their tests.

The person in question had been brought in as a substitute science teacher at a private high school. The facility had seen better days and was considered a last resort for "uncaring parents looking for an easy way out for their sons and daughters who failed in every other institute".

As a result, the students were largely disinterested in their classes - "a bunch of bored, spoiled, rich kids with almost no life-goal or whatsoever". The teacher quickly noticed a pattern. On the day of a test, they would wait for the two smart students to solve the questions and then simply copy them. And the substitute decided enough was enough.

So, they prepared four tests that at the core were exactly the same. "Different reactions (that's a given), different number of moles involved, but the way to solve the questions was the same, down to the last step…," they revealed on Reddit.

The fact that the tests appeared different, however, really threw the students. "The way they panicked when they realised that cheating was almost impossible was kind of cute. Well, impossible for them I mean….The panic in their eyes was just a plain, selfish, petty revenge."

People were quick to comment on the confession with one revealing: "My mom is a teacher. One day, she got tired on students cheating on her tests so she decided to go nuclear. Let's say Class A has 28 students, Class B has 25 students, Class has 26 students etc. My mom decided to make an individual test for every single student. So instead of Group 1 and Group 2, the students got different number from 1 to 30."

Another person wrote: "Good for you. As the person people were always cheating off of, I often messed with them. Sometimes taking extra long to solve problems. Sometimes keeping the correct answers separate and then changing them all at the last minute."

A third said: "Retired math instructor here: I always gave multiple versions of tests. I always got a chuckle from the students who had most of the correct answers, but for the wrong test."

And another Reddit user concluded: "Our physics teacher used to do this! We bypassed it very fast tho.. we just waited for people to fill in the questions for all the different tests and post them in the group chat. No, we were not allowed phones, but everyone had a back-up random old phone to give the teacher when they were collected. I basically cheated my way all through high school physics like this!"
