Peter Andre has explained why he has not signed a prenuptial agreement with his now wife Emily MacDonagh.

The 50-year-old Mysterious Girl singer and the 34-year-old doctor swapped vows in 2015 and give the impression of being a very happy couple. Together they share two children; a nine-year-old daughter named Amelia and a seven-year-old son named Theo - and they have a third child on the way.

And while Peter and pregnant Emily give a picture perfect image of a couple in love - with regular love-up snaps shared online - the star has surprised some fans by revealing he has not signed a prenup for his second marriage. Peter insists that his love for Emily is authentic and he plans to spend the rest of his life with her.

Peter peeled back the covers of his relationship with Emily while discussing couple’s with joint bank accounts during a TV appearance earlier today. The soon-to-be dad-of-five was speaking with Ellie Costello, 26, when he revealed the finer details of his marriage arrangement.

Peter said: "I think it does depend on upbringing. So some cultures think that you should always keep your own money, some think you should all be together. But as you grow older you start to figure it out yourself. I know with Emily at the start I had different views to what I've got now. I mean, we don't have a prenup. We've got children together."

Peter continued: "But we had a discussion before we got married, actually, and I knew I was going to stay with her forever so I thought, it's all going to stay in the same place anyway, so it doesn't matter. You have to understand that if somebody has come into a relationship, and somebody has created something before meeting you, you can understand someone being a bit scared or protective.

The reality TV star, who was speaking while hosting his GB News show, added: "But I think, and out of this conversation, I have realised that probably when you have children, that whole attitude changes. You are one unit when you get married, but much more so when you have children."

Peter has certainly changed his tune since he married Katie Price. The pair tied-the-knot in 2005 after meeting on ITV's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in 2004. He and Katie went on to welcome two children; a son named Junior and a daughter named Princess who are now aged 18-years-old and 16-years-old respectively.

While Peter initially hoped to marry Katie for love, he changed his mind and demanded a prenup. He explained at the time: "I don’t want anything from her apart from love... I wouldn’t get a penny if we broke up because I signed a prenup - and it was my idea." His careful planning proved to be prudent - as he and Katie divorced in 2009. The divorce was high profile - and explosive. However, a court order was made to prevent details of the divorce settlement being revealed.
