'Britain's most tattooed mum' obsessed with Christmas and has trees up all year
Melissa Sloan is known for being 'Britain's most tattooed' mum - but an ink addiction isn't the only unusual hobby she has.
The 46-year-old from Wales has over 800 tattoos, and recently paused any further inkings while she tries to get pregnant with her eighth child. The mum-of-seven usually hits headlines due to her impressive ink collection, which she frequently adds to because she purchased a tattoo gun so her partner, Luke, can add to it without having to book an appointment.
But it turns out Melissa has another obsession - Christmas. She loves the holiday so much that she celebrates every day and has eight Christmas trees which she keeps up all year round. In fact, she hasn't taken them down in nearly half a decade.
The eccentric mum doesn't let the festive spirit dwindle, has three 4ft pink trees in her bedroom, along with four trees in her daughter Autumn's bedroom - along with a somewhat creepy clown mask topper. She also has a real tree in her living room, which she's yet to recycle.
Melissa's trees have remained untouched for four years, and despite being mocked on TikTok for her obsession, she says she and her kids "love it". Speaking to Daily Star, Melissa explained: "My kids won't let me take them down, they've been up for over three years now."

"It's Christmas all year round in this house. It's sad times with what is going on in the world with the wars and everything. It's depressing so I thought I'd leave the trees up because it feels good. So I've got to be happy for the children. It's for them isn't it, when they get older they'll grow out of it."
Melissa explained that her daughter Autumn, who has special needs, loves Christmas trees, and so does she. In an ideal world, the mum, who lives with her partner and two of their children, would replace one of her smaller decorations with a towering 7ft tree - but she "couldn't be bothered" to deal with the wires on her old trees.
Although she has a "traditional" green tree in her bedroom, the ink addict explained she prefers the pink ones as they match "her personality. In her opinion, green trees are too "80s or 90s".
Melissa added that she "just has a thing for Christmas trees", but that there's also another reason she keeps her festive first up - and that goes back to her childhood. She candidly shared that she wanted to create a life for her kids she never had - including making the lyrics 'I wish it could be Christmas every day' into a reality.
