Rachel Stevens has hinted there is a feud between her and former S Club bandmate Hannah Spearritt as she gave a curt response when quizzed about her recent Dancing On Ice appearance.

The 45-year-old pop singer was herself a contestant on ITV’s Dancing On Ice back in 2022 - where she met future boyfriend Brendyn Hatfield, 37. Hannah, 42, was a contestant on the current season of Dancing On Ice where she was paired with 31-year-old professional skater Andy Buchanan.

But Hannah crashed out of the contest in the second full week of the contest, bringing her ice skating dreams to an end. Last year, the singer dropped out of taking part in the S Club tour - stepping away from live performance plans after her bandmate and former boyfriend Paul Cattermole suddenly passed away at the age of 46 last April.

Now it has been suggested there could be a rift between former bandmates Rachel and Hannah. OK Magazine interviewed the remaining members of S Club - which consists of Rachel along with Tina Barrett, 47, Jon Lee, 41, Bradley McIntosh, 42, and Jo O'Meara, 44.

OK! reports that “Rachel had little to say about Hannah [when] asked about this year's Dancing On Ice.” And indeed, the singer was asked if she was tuning in and told the publication: “Yes, I’m watching. it’s great, I’m really enjoying it.”

But when then asked if Hannah contacted her for tips before her time on the ice, Rachel bluntly replied: “No.” A spokesperson for Hannah has shot down reports of a feud between the duo, saying there is "no truth at all," to the rumours.

When Rachel competed on the ITV show in 2022, she was the third celebrity to be voted off the show. However, she landed something of a consolation prize in that she met professional skater Brendyn - who she went on to date. Her marriage to childhood sweetheart Alex Bourne collapsed in July 2022 after 12 years of being married - and five months after she bombed out of Dancing On Ice.

The S Club band members plotted a huge UK tour in 2023 to mark their 25th anniversary. But tragedy struck months before the show was due to hit the road as Paul died of several heart conditions.

Hannah and Paul had dated on and off first from 2001 until 2006 and again in 2015. Hannah was left devastated by Paul’s death and dropped out of performing with the remaining S Club members for the anniversary tour.

Speaking about their past in VT that was shown on the ITV show, Hannah said: “Me and Paul, we grew up together and he was the heart of the band. When Paul died, it was just hard, it’s been a challenging year and, yes, things will never be the same again really.”

She was voted off Dancing On Ice last week after failing to secure enough scores from the judges. After the result, Hannah said: "The experience on a whole has been absolutely amazing. And obviously being partnered with you has been so incredible. You've been the best teacher and you've pushed me out of my comfort zone when you've needed to. I'm so grateful to have learned this skill. Never in a million years would I of had a chance be be taught. I think skating for me is something that you do need to be taught."
