Billie Eilish's perfume brand has officially released the third bottle to grace the range and it's quite different to the original. The limited-edition Eilish No. 3 comes in a deep-burgundy bottle, and while it might have the same shape as the original gourmand, that's where the similarities stop.

Unlike the perfume that came first, No 3 is a woody amber scent that is undeniably unisex. It opens with notes of pink pepper, grapefruit and jasmine, before mellowing out into the spiciness of the pepper.

It has heart notes of fir, saffron and cedar really providing a woody experience before revealing a base of musk, amber and oakmoss. Perfume buffs may notice that jasmine, saffron, amber, fir and cedar also crop up in the expensive Baccarat Rouge 540 - so it's no surprise that comparisons are being drawn between the two.

With it being released in the UK today it's hardly surprising that there aren't many reviews online yet, but over on Fragrantica perfume aficionados are starting to give their opinions.

One said: "I have been wearing this everyday since I got it. Initially I had thought it was a very odd fragrance and didn’t know how I felt. It was/is very sweet at first and I thought it had smelt very feminine. After about a week of wear I really started to notice the other deep/woodsy/musky notes and it started to rub me as more unisex/masculine. On the plus side everyone I have worn this around says I smell amazing and is always asking what I’m wearing."

A second penned: "I have all three of the Eilish Fragrances and I genuinely think this is the best one out of the three. It is juicy grapefruit and spicy from the pink peppercorn but the saffron and fir do something beautiful to this fragrance that I just cant get enough of."

A third added: "I really enjoy this one! It's definitely unisex and woodsy. My husband said I smelled like a campfire, but I love it! Longevity was just average, but hopefully it will be stronger once it macerates. Great scent for the fall! I plan to layer it with Vanilla Woods by 7 Virtues or Milk by Commodity to sweeten it up!"

Our very own fragrance expert on the team, Jada Jones, got her hands on the new scent and said: "I'm normally most drawn to gourmand scents so the original Eilish is actually one of my favourite perfumes, I got a bottle for Christmas and have already went through half of it by the end of January because it smells so good - I even got compliments from everyone I hugged while wearing it.

"That meant I practically jumped out of my seat when I saw Eilish No. 3 being released. The bottle is gorgeous and reminded me of cherries, on the first spray you definitely get a sweet fruity hit but it mellows out into something earthier. I think it's a great option for people who like spicy and woody perfumes. It's undeniably unisex and I think there's something a little sexy about it. I found that I couldn't smell it after a few hours but it's possible I had just gotten used to having it on me all day."

There are other perfumes on the market with similar notes - 801 from Bon Parfumeur and Baccarat Rouge 540 are great, although more expensive, examples. You can get Eilish No.3 from Superdrug for £52 for a 100ml bottle.
