Fears for Taylor Swift's safety amid backlash from Donald Trump supporters
Taylor Swift could need "extra security" during her Eras Tour and throughout the US elections after a spat with Donald Trump.
The former president previously declared he was "more popular" than the Blank Space hitmaker amid theories from Republicans that Taylor will be backing Joe Biden for re-election. Despite never even mentioning who she's endorsing, wild Trump supporters have vowed "holy war" against the hitmaker in the run-up.
Now experts have warned the Shake It Off songstress might need "extra security precautions" while out and about following alleged threats from Trump fans. Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid and the late Michael Jackon's former bodyguard reveals her team may need to take measures in the "coming weeks".

He tells us: "Her security will have to take her involvement in the elections into account and at certain times throughout the coming weeks possibly have to take extra security precautions." The protection officer-turned-actor says they'll have to monitor "active threats".
Now starring in a number of movies and TV shows himself, including Final Score, where he doubled for Dave Bautista, Green Zone Thriller and Sherlock Holmes a Game of Shadows, Simon says he "wouldn't be too worried at this stage", but things could easily advance.
It wouldn't be the first time Trump has hit out at Taylor, famously slamming her music after her endorsement of two Tennessee Democrats running during the 2018 midterms. At the time, Trump admitted: "I like Taylor's music about 25 percent less now."

People close to Trump and current campaign staff members are reportedly convinced Swift is going to gun for Biden, just like she did in 2020, and there's been conversations with him about the problems it could bring for his campaign, according to Rolling Stone.
An outrage of Republican commentators lined up to speak out against Biden's hope of a Swift endorsement, including Chris Cillizza, a former political commentator for CNN, who posted a video of Fox News hosts expressing anger at the idea. He wrote: "They are really scared of Taylor Swift, aren't they?! The clip showed Judge Jeanine telling Swift to stay out of politics, saying: "We don't want to see you there." Meanwhile, one guest on the show said Swift is "effectively Biden's VP."
However, some believe people are putting too much importance on who Swift backs including Jason Miller, a senior adviser to the Trump campaign. "Joe Biden might be counting on Taylor Swift to save him, but voters are looking at these sky-high inflation rates and saying, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," said Miller.
