A prominent Sega leaker has claimed that there is DLC planned for Persona 3 Reload, including Persona 3 FES' epilogue – The Answer.

Persona 3 Reload is a fantastic remake from what I've played so far and faithfully adapts the original release of Persona 3 from 2006, while sprinkling in some updates and improvements from Persona 3's FES and Portable editions – as well as from later entries like Persona 5 Royal. However, the biggest complaint towards the game is that, rather than including everything from all three versions of Persona 3 into one package, Persona 3 Reload doesn't include FES' 'The Answer' epilogue, or the female protagonist from Persona 3 Portable.

However, a prominent Sega and Atlus leaker who goes by Midori (most recently known for revealing then-unreleased artwork of Yoshizawa and Akechi in Persona 5 Tactica ) has claimed that Atlus may not be planning to ignore at least one of these.

In a thread on Twitter Midori claims that Persona 3 Reload will recieve DLC containing 'The Answer' in the future. They also mention that multiple pieces of DLC are planned to release within the next fiscal year, although it's likely that most of these will be different skins and music tracks, based on other Persona titles. Midori cites that Sega's plan for DLC with Persona 3 Reload is similar to Lost Judgement, which released in September 2021, with a large expansion called The Kaito Files – which released the following March.

Midori also said that, despite 'The Answer' being a planned DLC, the female protagonist from Persona 3 Portable isn't planned to make a reappearance in Persona 3 Reload.

Aria of the soul

Honestly, it's hard to know how to feel about this if it does turn out to be true. On one hand, it's not a great look to remove a section from a previous version of the game only to sell it as paid DLC later down the line – something we saw with Resident Evil 4 and Seperate Ways last year (even if that was also an expanded take on it).

However, on the other hand, it's good to see Atlus actually dipping its toes in DLC, as previous re-releases like Persona 4 Golden and Persona 5 Royal were separate full price releases, that required you to play through the full game to experience everything in them. So if this signals the beginning of that trend in Persona games, count me in.
