Sophie Ellis-Bextor will perform the hit Barry Keoghan danced naked to in Saltburn at the BAFTAs.

The singer is set to take to the stage to perform at the 2024 BAFTA Awards to perform her hit Murder on the Dancefloor, which flew back into the charts after it appeared in Saltburn's soundtrack. She was perform the 2001 hit on February 18 at the Royal Festival Hall in London while Barry sits in the audience.

Saltburn fans will remember the iconic scene in which Barry's character, Oliver, dances naked while Murder on the Dancefloor plays in the background. The actor will be going up against Bradley Cooper, Cillian Murphy, Colman Domigo, Tee Yoo and Paul Giametti in the Leading Actor category at the awards.

Sophie's hit was released 23 years ago but was chosen to feature in the final scene of Emerald Fennell's film. The film has been much-talked about with the finale, in particular, trending on social media, which led the Murder on the Dancefloor also trending in popularity.

The 2001 hit was in the top five most played tracks in the world earlier this month. Murder on the Dancefloor's success has led to Sophie landing a new deal with her old record label.

Sophie will reportedly also perform the huge hit at this year's BRIT Awards. Sources have confirmed that she's thrilled to be making a comeback and can't wait to perform the song at the event at The O2 Arena, in London in March.

A music industry insider told MailOnline: "Sophie will be appearing at the awards this year, it’s incredible to think she didn’t in her heyday but she is now all of these years later. It is a real go back in time moment but it will also be one that organisers think will be really popular with the audience of all ages thanks to Saltburn.

"Youngsters won’t remember it the first time around and older people will love the memories. Sophie is just so excited about it." Murder on the Dancefloor was nominated for best British song in 2001 and a year later she was shortlisted for the British female solo artist award and again in 2004.

However, she has never performed at the ceremony. Sophie and her musician husband The Feeling's Richard Jones were guest at The BRIT Awards last year.
