Gabriel Jesus scored in Arsenal's win over Nottingham Forest meaning he's still never lost in a Premier League game in which he's found the net.

The Brazilian broke the deadlock just after the hour mark at the City Ground as his effort sneaked past Forest goalkeeper Matt Turner. Jesus' goal was long overdue given the dominance of his side in the first half, and it means he's still yet to taste defeat when scoring - a run that now spans 60 games.

Many of those were achieved whilst at Manchester City and he's kept it up during his time at the Emirates. Jesus' strike in Nottingham was soon followed by one for Bukayo Saka, who doubled Arsenal's lead en route to a 2-1 win.

Jesus' goal was only his fourth goal in the league this term as he continues to struggle being the prolific forward that Arsenal are desperate for. The Brazilian has spent some time out injured, but he's determined to prove his worth as Arsenal stuck to their task at the City Ground.

He told TNT Sports after their win: "We were there and controlled the game, but the best way to control them is to keep the ball in the third part of the pitch, we did well in the first half but we didn't score. Second half we scored so we controlled more of the game."

He also added: "It is all about trust, I arrived at the club with patience and desire to improve, I think I am doing good. Unfortunately I have been injured, but I don't want [that]. I got kicked in training so I had some problems again, but I am working hard and doing everything to be on the on the pitch."

Jesus scored 11 times in his debut campaign with Arsenal as they narrowly fell short in the title race. This season they're determined to go one better with the Gunners closing the gap at the top to two points after their victory on Tuesday night.

Mikel Arteta said on their win: “I think we had a really strong performance. We were really dominant. We had to be very patient. But at the same time, we need to keep having the intention to hurt them all the time and don’t start to be complacent. And I think we’ve done that at the end. I think we suffered much more than what we deserved. But this is the Premier League.”
