Hidden iPhone hacks you never knew were possible - including back-tap shortcut

However, the chances are you haven't unlocked your iPhone's true potential - even if you consider yourself a bit of a tech wizz. Fear not, as one mobile phone expert has shared three hacks to up your Apple game and make the most out of your device.
Dan Melia of Mobile Phones Direct says users can activate a 'Back Tap' shortcut in just a few steps, Bristol Post reports. This allows you to open a selected app or feature (such as taking a screenshot or turning on the torch) by simply double or triple-tapping the phone.
How? Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Back Tap > Double Tap/Triple Tap > Select system (e.g. torch).

The beauty of modern technology is that can help make everyday living easier for those struggling with issues such as hearing impairments. If you struggle to hear certain noises within the home - you can set up alerts so your device will tell you what the sound is/ where it's coming from.

"Say for example, you wanted to be alerted every time a smoke alarm went off, your iPhone can recognise this sound and send a notification to your phone telling you which sound is going off," Melia said. There are a range of sounds to choose from, including when someone is knocking on the door.
How? Settings > Accessibility > Sound Recognition > Toggle 'Sound Recognition' on > Sounds > Click sound you want to be alerted to.
A big concern when it comes to advancements in technology is children accessing content they shouldn't. If you're a parent worried about this, you can use Guided Access to block certain apps.
How? Settings > Accessibility > Guided Access > Toggle 'Guided Access' on > Passcode Settings > Toggle 'Face ID' on > Set Guided Access Passcode > Launch page/app and triple press the lock button to start Guided Access.
