The Traitors' Harry Clark wanted to win as he didn't want to end up like people from his hometown

The Traitors winner Harry Clark explained the real reason he wanted to gain fame and fortune on the show.

The 23-year-old won the programme's £95,000 jackpot during the final last week after managing to convince Mollie that he was a Faithful through and through. In the end, it was just Jaz, Mollie and Harry left. Whilst Harry and Mollie were happy to end the game there and then, Jaz decided he wanted to banish again and thus they all had to banish again.

Mollie made a last-minute decision to choose to send Jaz home, and with Harry voting Jaz, it meant Harry won. After taking home the winnings, Harry revealed his determination for the win came from the fact he didn't want to 'end up like others from his hometown Slough.'

"I'm from Slough and a lot of us have the same life mapped out," he explained.

"You marry young, have kids and then hate your life and are in the pub Thursday, Friday and Saturday — and I didn't want that life. My whole life I have felt like the wonky pancake. I wasn't really sure where I fitted in sometimes." Speaking to The Sun, he added: "It's the first time my dad has really said how proud of me he is, which is emotional for me."

It comes after Harry thanked his military training for helping him to win the jackpot - because he could think on his feet and grab sleep where he could. He added that he is relieved that close pal Mollie Pearce has forgiven him for snatching the £95k from under her nose.

Unlike the others, who found sleep evasive as they tried to work out who was betraying them with lies, army engineer Harry said he took every wink he could get. “As soon as I got back I was conked out. The whole day I’d spend thinking about the plans and trying to execute them so when I got the chance to actually sleep I was just a goner.

“When I got the chance to sleep I’d be flat out straight away. I think that’s a credit to my military training. There are certain situations where you only get a couple of hours’ sleep.” Speaking to Zoe Ball on her Radio 2 Breakfast Show on Monday, the British Army Corporal said he’d enjoyed doing interviews with the rest of the players over the weekend.

It was the first time they’d got together since the show was recorded in September
