Kyle Walker breaks silence on betraying 'soulmate' Annie and 'idiot choices'
Kyle Walker admitted he made 'idiot choices' and takes 'full responsibility' for hurting his wife Annie Kilner.
Annie announced she had split from her husband and childhood sweetheart earlier this month before reports emerged that he had fathered a second child with Lauryn Goodman, who he had previously fathered a son with in 2019.
The 33-year-old Man City defender shared his regret at his actions in an interview as he confirmed he is now living alone while the mother to three of his children, who is expecting a fourth, remains in their family home.
Kyle said: "What I’ve done is horrible and I take full responsibility. I made idiot choices and idiot decisions. I can’t begin to think or imagine what Annie is going through. I’ve tried to ask her but there’s pain and hurt."

But I need to own up to my mistakes — I owe it to everyone," he told The Sun. “My actions have caused a lot of pain to a lot of people. I’m sorry because, as a family, this isn’t meant to happen.”

Kyle insisted that he never had a relationship with Lauryn, despite her previously contradicting this claim, but has known the model since his early 20s. The footballer, who referred to Annie as his "soulmate", explained that one of the hardest parts of the ordeal is not going to sleep with his son at night, as he does usually every night when he's at home.
Kyle previously moved out of the family home due to a different cheating scandal, but Annie chose to forgive her then-boyfriend. After discovering the truth about Lauryn's first pregnancy, Annie made the difficult decision to move forward and put the scandal behind them with Kyle vowing to have no contact with the model beyond financial obligations for their son. The couple subsequently got married in November 2021.
In August 2022, Lauryn announced she was planning to move from Brighton to near Kyle's family home. Kyle is said to have met her a solicitors' office in an attempt to stop the move, where he then met his son, Kairo for the first time.
The footballer continued being in contact with Lauryn without Annie's knowledge and in October 2022, Kyle travelling to London for groin surgery and met the mother of his son. After this encounter, he found out Lauryn was pregnant again.
Earlier this year, Annie confirmed she had split from her husband. She wrote on Instagram : “Sadly, after many years of marriage and three wonderful children together, I have decided to take some time away from Kyle. I do not wish to comment on the position any further.”
Lauryn claimed last week how Walker was leading a secret double life. And she told how she decided to reveal the truth to Annie so that they could all “live their lives like adults”. The 32-year-old influencer, who came to fame on reality show The Only Way is Essex, said: “I kept saying to Kyle, ‘You need to tell her. You need to tell Annie that you are our daughter’s father and you are having a relationship with your children.”
