Dancing On Ice star Amber Davies has made claims of feeling "overwhelmed" and says she is "crumbling" at the thought of skating in front of a live audience on tonight's show.

The 27 year old reality TV star who first shot to fame in 2017 after appearing on Love Island, is set to make history as she performs a move that has never been done before, with skating professional Simon Proulx-Senecal. But it seems as though the pressure is proving too much for the TV personality to bare as she took to social media to share her anxiety with her fans.

She candidly wrote: "Guys I’m deflated. I always have a bad dress run. Then I think, is that how the performance is gonna go? Oh my god I’m stressed. I know exactly what it is as well - we train for Dancing on Ice on a different rink. It’s when we go through to the actual studio that I crumble. I fully forget how to skate. I’m an overwhelmed person."

Ahead of tonight's show Amber is set to attempt a lift that has never been done before on the ITV show but in pictures obtained by The Sun, her dress rehearsal went horribly wrong. The pictures show that she took a tumble and landed on her back prompting Simon to rush to her rescue. Speaking of her experience on the show so far, she told the publication: "My first skate was one of the best moments of my life. I said to Simon I want to do a lift that has never been done before on Dancing on Ice. We are doing a lift called the scorpion. My head is very close to the ice. It's petrifying. Let's just hope it goes to plan on the night."

Amber will transform into Barbie in tonight's show and is skating to a Billie Eilish song, What Was I Made For? Amber's ex boyfriend Kem Cetinay, who she won Love Island with, also took to the ice the following year after leaving the villa in 2017 and came fourth on the skating show. Amber says it's her aim to beat Kem's position. She said that there's nothing more "motivating" than doing a competition that an ex has taken part in.

Earlier this month. Amber had to receive medical treatment following an injury she sustained during rehearsals. She was left in tears after tearing her quad which meant she was forced to undergo physiotherapy and said it was incredibly painful.

She explained at the time: "I had a tear at the top of my quad, It was from off-ice training but we'd been on the ice for two and a half hours. When you're on the ice it's all about being down in your knees, so by the end of the session, your legs and bum are burning."

She added: "We'd come off and thought, 'let's just use this time and do a couple of lifts so we can put them on the ice in a different session'. As Simon lifted me up, the top of my quad popped. It was so, so painful. We had to call the medic, I had to have physio every morning."
