Greg Hemphill, star of BBC sitcom Still Game, admitted he has used Viagra and said it's had a positive result on his sex life.

The actor, 54, has been married to Balamory star wife Julie Wilson Nimmo they tied the knot in 1995. Greg candidly revealed he had been struggling in the bedroom, but was keen to find a solution to spice up their intimate time in the bedroom. Viagra is proven to help older men who suffer from erectile dysfunction. The sex pill is prescribed by doctors and is typically taken an hour before intercourse to help males gain and maintain an erection.

Greg raved about the medicine, revealing it has worked "magic" for his marriage and encouraged others to seek help if they're facing the same issues and not to feel embarrassed. While appearing on the new BBC Scotland show Jules and Greg’s Wild Swim, the actor opened up and told his wife: "I’ll be absolutely honest with you, I’ve admired your honesty up until now where you’ve been talking about the menopause and stuff like that.

"I think the male equivalent of that truly is, I can’t really put it into words because I get too mortified." He then pretended his finger is drooping and said: "The male equivalent of the menopause is that." Julie, 52, responded: "Being in your fifties and stuff like that, these things come up." The couple then fell into hysterics after she admitted: “That was the wrong thing to say."

Recalling the time he spoke to a doctor about his issue, Greg said: "I remember the first time I ever happened across this wonder drug Viagra and it was magic. I’ve got plenty to say about this goddamn thing. I went to the doctors, I said 'hey doctor how you doing? So I was having sex last night and it didn’t...' and he went ‘ah’. He knew right away what I was talking about and I think in that moment I stumbled into the great unsaid between men and women.” He then quipped: "I’m here to tell you, get the helping hand."

Julia revealed she felt insecure after her husband pulled out his Viagra but understood it was important for their marriage. She added: "I remember feeling a bit hurt like 'oh no, Greg doesn’t fancy me anymore'. I think woman do think that when the Viagra packet comes out. But actually, get in amongst it." Greg is best known for appearing in the BBC Scotland comedy series Chewin' The Fat and Still Game.
