The Masked Singer UK clues Owl was Lorraine Kelly from tangerines to Dawn French
Lorraine Kelly was revealed as Owl on Saturday night's episode of The Masked Singer UK.
The show returned earlier this month, with panellists Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross, Rita Ora and Mo Gilligan back again on Saturday night, where they were joined by guest Ellie Goulding as they tried to work out the identity of the characters. Confirmed for the latest lineup on Saturday night were Air Fryer, Owl, Eiffel Tower, Piranha, Maypole, Cricket, Bigfoot and Dippy Egg.
On Saturday night, Owl was the next character to be unmasked as none other than Lorraine, 64, to which host Joel Dommett exclaimed: "This might be one of the best reveals we've ever had on the show!" During the reveal, the ITV show explained all of the cryptic clues for Lorraine as Owl.
Lorraine Kelly was revealed as Owl on Saturday night's episode of The Masked Singer UK (ITV)In a series of banners, it read: "The celebrity apple juice bottle in Owl's locker was a reference to her appearance on Celebrity Juice", "the tangerines in the desk drawer were a nod to Lorraine's beloved football team Dundee United", "the "cubee 2 cubee" coffee cup hinted at Lorraine's appearance on 'The Cube' with her daughter" while "hilarity and 'parody' in her riddle me this clue, nodded to Dawn French parodying her in 'Absolutely Fabulous'".
Lorraine has since broken her silence, taking to Instagram to post a pre-recorded video, she said: "Hi there, yes, it was me, I was Owl on The Masked Singer, congratulations if you guessed it. One of the clues, of course, was about Dundee United. I'm right here at Tannadice Park, a lot of you got the clue about the tangerines. So well done if you did!" Lorraine ended her video by revealing there would be a Masked Singer UK special on her show on Monday with host Joel joining her.

The star captioned the clip with: "Did you guess it was me behind the mask?? Such fun doing @maskedsingeritv - thanks so much to all the amazing team who made it the BEST experience ever - what an amazing opportunity to sing LIVE in front of an audience on THE best entertainment show #joy #happy #owl #maskedsinger #singing #fun."
The ITV show explained all of the cryptic clues for Lorraine as Owl (ITV)Lorraine's 530K followers and celebrity pals were quick to respond. Carol Vorderman wrote: "You were absolutely brilliant....I didn't even guess it was you...that's how c**p I am" with a laughing emoji, Christine Lampard put a series of clapping and owl emojis while host Joel added: "You were INCREDIBLE!" with heart emojis.
It comes as the legendary presenter said after her reveal: "I've loved being Owl, I've loved every single second, the show is so joyful." Talking about why she signed up, she admitted: "I just wanted to have a bit of fun to kick off the year and to be a bit silly. I've never had a chance to sing in front of an audience before, and I thought if I was behind a mask it wouldn't be as scary."
Lorraine admitted she was shocked the judges didn't pick up on her Scottish accent, she said: "I was astounded that the panel didn't get me right away because I thought they would hear my Scottish accent. "I worked really quite hard to try and not be too Scottish, but I thought they would get me right away, and I thought it was hilarious who they were saying. It was really funny. I was really pleased that they didn't get me."
