The Masked Singer UK's Eiffel Tower 'exposed' as legendary star after clue
The Masked Singer UK fans are convinced they've rumbled Eiffel Tower's identity after a slew of clues.
The show returned earlier this month, with panellists Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross, Rita Ora and Mo Gilligan back again on Saturday night, where they were joined by guest Ellie Goulding as they tried to work out the identity of the characters. Confirmed for the latest lineup on Saturday night were Air Fryer, Owl, Eiffel Tower, Piranha, Maypole, Cricket, Bigfoot and Dippy Egg.
So far, Bubble Tea has been revealed as Julia Sawalha, Rat was revealed to be Strictly Come Dancing legend, Shirley Ballas, Chicken Caesar was unveiled as Alexander Armstrong and Weather was revealed as Dionne Warwick. On Saturday night, the Eiffel Tower took to the stage once more to drop a series of clues.
Taking to Twitter, now X, viewers were quick to speculate on who it could be, predicting singer Anastacia, who previously appeared on The Masked Singer Australia in 2021. One person said: "I keep changing my mind who Eiffell Tower is. I think Anastacia or someone from sex and the city #MaskedSingerUK", a different account put: "#maskedsingeruk Eiffel Tower could be the singer…. Anastacia…", another viewer wrote: "Eiffel tower is 10000000% Anastasia #maskedsingeruk" while another added: "Eiffel Tower could be Anastasia #MaskedSingerUK."
It comes as host Joel Dommett couldn’t wait for the show to start and previously said: "Honestly, they are the best costumes ever. If they don’t make you smile, well, get out! Air Fryer is unbelievably silly. It's so liberating to be a part of a show where first of all, people really enjoy it and also from my point of view, any idea I have, it's fair game. Even when it comes to the suits!
Three new celebrities are set to join The Masked Singer panel this weekend"I think we've definitely got some of the best vocalists we've ever had on the show and we've had some really incredible ones in the past. The show goes through an interesting meandering of, we are all here for all the new characters, but then maybe the better singers start to get through in the last rounds, usually the final. Let's be honest, it’s usually really incredible singers left at that point. This year I really do feel like we've got some of the best we've ever had."
Talking about the costumes, Jonathan Ross said: "I love all of them. I really loved Weather. I thought that was a really beautiful, quite romantic, quite poetic-looking costume. I liked Piranha a lot. They're fun, I have to say. Bubble Tea is great. Well, Bubble Tea and Air Fryer make the show very, very modern, don't they? There's a couple of phrases that weren't in common conversation two or three years ago, and now we've got them dancing on primetime ITV1!"
