KSI responds to Jurgen Klopp quitting Liverpool with Pep Guardiola jibe

KSI has responded to Jurgen Klopp stepping down as Liverpool boss by bringing up Man City manager Pep Guardiola's success.

Klopp has been in charge of Liverpool for almost a decade but shockingly announced he will leave the club at the end of the season. The German, 56, guided Liverpool to a first Premier League title in 2020 and a sixth Champions League trophy in 2019, with news of his departure coming just days after his side's win against Fulham in the Carabao Cup semi-final.

KSI, who is a devout Arsenal fan, responded to the news of Klopp stepping down by writing: "I would also be tired of having to face Pep year after year lmao." Klopp and Guardiola have met 15 times in the Premier League since the Spaniard took over City in 2016 and Guardiola has just one more win over his managerial rival with six draws between the two sides.

Klopp, who informed his staff about leaving the club in November, said of his decision: "I can understand that it's a shock for a lot of people in this moment, when you hear it for the first time, but obviously I can explain it, or at least try to explain it. "I love absolutely everything about this club.

"I love everything about the city, I love everything about our supporters, I love the team, I love the staff. I love everything. But that I still take this decision shows you that I am convinced it is the one I have to take. It is that I am, how can I say it, running out of energy. I know that I cannot do the job again and again and again and again.

"We are Liverpool, we went through harder things together and you went through harder things before me. Let's make a strength of it. That would be really cool. Let's squeeze everything out of this season and have another thing to smile about when we look back in the future."

Klopp's nine-year stint at Liverpool is the longest he has spent in charge of a club after seven years at both Mainz and Dortmund. The German became a cult hero after taking over from Brendan Rogers in 2015 and Liverpool's owners have insisted they will take time to decide on his replacement.
