Peter Andre reveals how he'd feel about Junior and Princess fighting on front line for UK

Peter Andre was asked whether his children Junior and Princess would 'fight in the air' after the head of the Army warned Brits they may have to be called up because the regular armed forces aren't big enough.

Earlier this week, the head of the Army said Britain should "train and equip" a "citizen army" to ready the country for a potential land war. General Sir Patrick Sanders, the outgoing Chief of the General Staff (CGS), said even that would be "not enough" as he pointed to allies in eastern and northern Europe "laying the foundations for national mobilisation".

The military top brass suggested increasing Army numbers in preparation for a potential conflict would need to be a "whole-of-nation undertaking". As the public discussed the idea of conscription, Mysterious Girl singer Peter, 50, revealed joining the army was a normal thing for him growing up in Cyprus.

During an appearance on GB News, he was asked: "Your teens, would they go fight in the war?" Peter explained: "Where we grew up in Cyprus because my parents are from Cyprus and it's compulsory. If we lived in Cyprus, they would anyway. For a lot of people and a lot of cultures, including our own, it's a normal thing to do."

Military service in Cyprus is mandatory for males, with the obligatory service period being 14 months. Currently, only Greek Cypriots serve in the military. All male guests, despite what citizenship they hold, to the country of military age (16 years old and over) who have a parent of Cypriot extraction are eligible for military service.
