Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has suffered plenty of frustrating moments against rivals Liverpool, with Reds fans enjoying themselves watching them back, but it appears some of Liverpool's players have the same reaction.

Perhaps the highest-profile Pickford slip-up came in December 2018, when his misjudgement of a high ball allowed Liverpool's Divock Origi to take advantage and score a late winner in the Merseyside Derby. That wasn't the only such example, though.

A little under a year earlier, Everton and Liverpool were drawn together in the FA Cup. It was Virgil van Dijk's debut for the Reds, and the centre-back took advantage of more Pickford misery to score a late winner.

Neither Curtis Jones nor Cody Gakpo had made their Liverpool debut at the time, but the pair were given a chance to watch it while ranking their team's best cup goals. And any attempts at calm were quickly pushed to one side as they couldn't help but laugh as Pickford's complete failure to claim a corner.

Jones begins by praising the firmness of Van Dijk's header as the Dutch international powers the ball hope. Van Dijk's international colleague Gakpo sees the goal differently, though.

"What is the goalie doing, mate?" he asks with a laugh. Jones briefly continues praising the goalscorer, before agreeing with Gakpo and twice asking "what is he doing?".

Van Dijk's winner helped end a stalemate between the two Merseyside clubs that season, with both league games ending all-square. It wasn't enough to set up a long cup run for Jurgen Klopp's team, though, with West Brom eliminating them in the very next round.

After claiming victory over Arsenal in the third round, Liverpool will continue this season's cup push with a home meeting with Norwich - managed by his old friend David Wagner - on Sunday. They go into the game with one Wembley final already assured, after beating Fulham 3-2 on aggregate in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup,

"I enjoy a lot and we had already conversations about it," Klopp said when asked about Wagner. "He asked me for massive rotation! I told him that doesn't help, obviously!

"[He did a] really good job but a really difficult job. I think the start of the season was really good and then they lose more or less their offensive department and that's when they struggled a bit. Now they are in touching distance of the play-off spots.

"They obviously have big games coming up," he added. "So, the Championship season itself is already pretty intense but if you have a longer FA Cup run in it, it's obviously very similar to a very successful Premier League season with international football or something like that, because of the amount of teams in the league and the amount of games you have."
