Best Galentines Day Spa: This Staffordshire complex is idyllic for a girls trip

Valentines Day is certainly not all about couples here at Mirror Choice - it's important to all treat ourselves for this holiday in particular. A crisp, sunny day at an outdoor spa to really immerse yourselves into is the perfect way to relax with your loved ones - my girls and I couldn't have had a better experience at Manor House Hotel & Spa, Alsager.

I have been lucky enough to experience some of the UK's most wonderful spa's in my years of reviewing, and the Manor House Hotel & Spa is without doubt a favourite and, it's for a number of reasons.

The complex offers a wide range of facilities to guests - and upon arrival, we lapped up the beautiful courtyard for a quick coffee before entering the spa.

There was a large party hiring the spa just before we arrived so there was lots going on but, with just a slight wait while they reorganised and cleaned up the spa - it was in no way a hindrance for such a glorious day we were about to have basking in the winter sun.

While one of my friends is single and one has been in an 18-year relationship- a Galentine's Day celebrating with your girls is something for everyone for a Valentine's break. Our favourite part had to be the outdoor English Spa Garden.

We enjoyed the Vitality Pool and Hydrotherapy Tub the most, where we could order our favourite cocktails and put the world to rights.

Also, there are numerous areas where we could relax and unwind on loungers inside and out of the spa which were lovely - there was plenty of space for us and other spa goers to not feel like we were under each other's feet.

If you are anything like us, you want to get the afternoon tea done and dusted right between your spa hours and for that, you get to visit the Pool House to indulge in your robes. We got to tuck into an afternoon tea packed with sandwiches, freshly baked sausage rolls and the most gorgeous cakes- and it's included in some of the half/full day experiences you can book here.

Particularly important to mention are the tranquil, rustic surroundings. The grounds were originally farm buildings and now the four spa retreat has been completely refurbed to cater to a whole spectrum of guests but for now.... we couldn't recommend it enough for the girl gang!
