Denise Van Outen has teased that she's now working on something with her former presenting partner Johnny Vaughan, with her having shared that they reunited recently.

They fronted the Big Breakfast on Channel 4 together from 1997 to 1999, and later from 2000 until its finale the following year. The pair reunited last year on Steph's Packed Lunch, which marked the first time they had appeared on-screen together since BBC show Passport to Paradise in 2004.

Denise, 49, took to Instagram on Wednesday to tease that she had reunited with Johnny, 57, once again. She shared a photo of them posing inside an undisclosed restaurant recently.

Denise and Johnny both joined the Big Breakfast in 1997, with them becoming a beloved partnership on the breakfast show. Denise said on Loose Women years later that they were "best friends" prior to her departure in 1999.

There's said to have been tension over the years between them and Denise once said that they had a "big fallout". She added that her departure from the Big Breakfast was over contract renegotiations, saying that he was negotiating separately but that she thought they were a "team". She said "a similar thing happened again" when she returned in 2000.

The pair however are understood to have reconciled since then, with Denise saying in 2021: "Johnny and I have had a bit of a rocky relationship over the years for various reasons and, funnily enough, we've messaged a lot in lockdown. These situations make you reflect and realise some of the silly niggles and arguments you have are just not worth it."
