We saw how pride comes before a fall when Paul started crowing about how well he was doing, while twisting the ends of an imaginary villain’s moustache and doing an evil laugh. Tonight Harry seemed to be following in his footsteps, smugly congratulating himself on his genius in a way that can only be described as extremely cocky indeed.

“I’m just so smart, aren’t I,” he boasted. And then the shield he was showing off broke in his hands. A METAPHOR? AN OMEN? A SIGN? Would this be the night Harry’s castle of cards came crumbling down? Yes it would! Or perhaps no it wouldn’t! Definitely one of them though!

The paranoid level in the castle is now at Def Con nine hundred million bazillion, and so whenever the players weren’t doing a mission or being told what was going to happen next by Claudia (GREEN JUMPER!!!!) they were whispering furtively about each other.

Zak voiced suspicions about Ross, which Harry leapt on, while admitting in his confessional that he felt sorry for him. Not that sorry though, eh?

Harry and Andrew discussed getting rid of Ross – “I don’t trust him,” Harry said, pot-kettle-black stylee. “I’m not going without a fight,” vowed Ross. At the round table, there was a fight.

Some of it was ridiculous – Evie saying Ross was being defensive, in a game the aim of which is to defend yourself against accusations. Some of it was almost too Machiavellian to follow – Harry turned on Ross, Ross turned on Andrew, the word elusive seemed like it was about to be someone’s undoing, but whose? Zak and Jasmine bickered, like they have been doing for two days, unwittingly providing a wonderful distraction from the Traitors as obviously they’re both Faithful.

In the end, Ross was done up like a kipper, by people who knew exactly what they were doing and people who had no idea what they were doing. He was the Liz Truss of Traitors, a one night wonder, wham bam thank you Diane.

He revealed his family secret – a brief moment of triumph before the door hit him on the way out – then confirming that yes, he was a Traitor.

And so, Harry’s shield bluff/recruit patsy plan had worked absolutely perfectly, down to the letter. He is literally the puppet-master. It is now officially his world, and we all just live in it. He makes Paul look like someone who left so early on we’ve forgotten their name already.

Harry told us what would happen next. Jaz, Mollie or Zak will be murdered. Jasmine will be banished tomorrow. Andrew will be banished the next day. And then sweet victory, and all that wonga, will be his.

Just two episodes left. Harry seems completely unstoppable. Is he?
