Apple TV+ is preparing to launch a brand new drama series that looks set to be a fascinating and gripping watch. Coming to screens next month, The New Look is a new biographical drama series that boasts an impressive cast of award-winning stars.

Billed as an “emotionally thrilling” drama, the series reveals the shocking story of how fashion designers Christian Dior, Coco Chanel and their contemporaries navigated the horrors of World War II and launched modern fashion. The 10-part historical series – which is inspired by true events and was filmed exclusively in Paris – takes its title from Dior’s fashion line that was dubbed The New Look.

It comes from writer-producer Todd A. Kessler, whose writing credits include The Sopranos and Netflix thriller Bloodline, the latter of which he co-created. The New Look also boasts an immersive and contemporary soundtrack – curated and produced by Grammy-winning Bleachers frontman Jack Antonoff – that features covers of popular early to mid-20th century songs performed by artists including Florence Welch, Lana Del Rey, The 1975’s Matty Healy and Nick Cave.
