Diablo 4 is winding down its current season, and gearing up for a brand new one, with the recently-announced Season of the Construct set to start on Tuesday.

The coming week is a big one for Activision Blizzard, given the feedback to Diablo 4's live service journey so far. Season 1 launched last July and was a bit of a disaster in the days that followed, with the developer admitting that it didn't offer "the greatest play experience" for fans, while servers buckled under the influx of players rushing to consume the new content.

Diablo 4 Season of Blood also got off to a rough start, being delayed by a couple of hours, and even when it got up and running, things weren't going smoothly; players encountered issues claiming Season 2 Battle Pass rewards, and crossplay between PC and consoles was suspended amid tech issues.

Hopefully, Diablo 4 Season of the Construct experience will be improved – third time's the charm after all – and Blizzard should be more on the ball with things according to the update in this week's Diablo 4 Season 3 campfire chat. Players can expect one update at season launch, followed by a mid-season update which is the format that Warzone follows under its 'reloaded' moniker.

Nerfs will be saved for the mid-season update, with the patch being smaller in size than the day one launch update, as you'd expect. Communication is also a key part of the Diablo 4 roadmap, with the studio promising to 'communicate early and often'. So the Diablo 4 Season 3 changes should set us up for the best season yet, right? As we predicted, Diablo 4 Season 3 starts on Tuesday, January 23, with confirmation appearing in-game on a login screen banner. Every season so far has had a set launch time – including this one – so we can confidently say that the Diablo 4 Season 3 start time will be 6pm GMT / 1pm EST / 10am PST. Providing the proverbial doesn't hit the fan, you'll be able to jump into Season of the Construct as soon as it goes live, right on schedule.

You can expect new endgame content including a new questline, a customisable robotic companion, and a new type of dungeon in the form of Vaults that tie-in to the questline and are found beneath the desert region of Kehjistan.
