Two Grade II listed houses, littered with junk and hosting an abandoned car in the garden, are up for grabs for a hefty £725,000.

The rundown homes in Ramsgate, Kent have sadly been neglected and used as dumping grounds. The neighbouring houses are overwhelmed by heaps of rubbish. The decayed former guest houses, on sale as separate lots for the first time in six decades, are said to be "one of the worst" by auctioneer Russell Taylor.

These properties are located at Wellington Crescent and will soon be available at the Taylor James Auction House. It's clear anyone taking them on will have their hands full - missing floorboards, torn wallpaper, and random items like mattresses, a television, even a Christmas tree, all add to the chaos.

Despite their sorry state, auctioneer Russell Taylor is optimistic: "We are delighted to be offering these two very unique properties which admittedly have seen better days, however, they give the buyer the opportunity to add significant value whether it be converting to an HMO, flats, guesthouse or a single-family dwelling."

These prized seafront locations rarely hit the market, making them valuable despite their shabby condition. Both sites at 25 and 26 Wellington Crescent are five stories tall and mid-terrace.

One photo from the ad shows a pile of old food wrappers, like a box from an Iceland cheese and ham pizza and Haribo sweets, next to a toaster. Another photo shows a dirty mattress and the bottom of some stairs with lots of food cans and other rubbish.

The ad says both places need a big fix-up because they're in such bad shape.

There are also two rusty cookers covered in cobwebs inside, surrounded by old bowls, food wrappers, and kitchen tools.

Outside, there's a car with a big crack in the windscreen left in the messy garden.

Mr Taylor said: "Having fallen into disrepair over the last 20 years local residents will be happy that these two properties will be coming back into use and whoever is the purchaser may find a few surprises buried in the garden!"

"It's definitely one of the worst I have come across and unfortunately I can't work out what type of car is buried in the garden but I don't think it's a Porsche!"

The auction for these houses is on Wednesday, January 31. The place at 25 Wellington Crescent starts at £375,000 and the one at 26 Wellington Crescent starts at £350,000.
