Plane travel might be convenient - but you never know who you'll be sitting near in the small confines of an aircraft. Be it unruly passengers, or screaming babies, passengers often have to put up with a lot on the duration of their flight.

One person was so outraged by what they witnessed on a plane that they chose to take a photo which they promptly shared on Instagram with the hashtag #PassengerShaming.

It was shared by IG user sweeneysaidso, who claims to "fly a lot, and take pictures of whatever annoys me or makes me happy". The picture in question shows a mum cutting her toddler's toenails in their seats - and came with the caption: Why [is] this lady clipping her toddler's toenails on the lane? #backofthebus #passengershaming."

It quickly garnered comments, with one person replying with a vomiting emoji while another simply stated: "WTF". Many photos have emerged on Instagram account Passenger Shaming, showing people doing everything from putting in false eyelashes and painting their nails, to a woman resting her feet on a train tray table to trim her toenails.

One post claimed a woman was "popping zits" on a man's nose before she started "pulling nose hairs", with other bizarre behaviour including a woman performing yoga in her seat.

It comes after a man revealed how he took revenge on a woman who kept draping her hair over the back of her seat during a flight. He explained that he was on the way home from a family holiday , and his daughter was "watching the Troll movie on the plane and minding her own business." But things didn't go as smoothly as he'd hoped when a woman "decided to put her hair over the back of her seat", which then meant that his daughter was struggling to see the film.

Taking to Reddit, the man explained: "This obscured the screen for my kid. My daughter asked her to move her hair but she wouldn't. We pushed the button for the flight attendant and the flight attendant got the woman to move her hair. For about 15 minutes. Then she did it again."

Not happy, the man "decided to do something", which made the woman uncomfortable. He continued: "When my daughter went to the bathroom I took her seat. When she came back I let her have my seat. She asked why I moved and I said that I really liked the woman's hair and I wanted to get a better look at it.

"The woman heard me and she immediately pulled her hair back, tucked it in, and pulled her hoodie up. My daughter didn't notice. She was happy with her movie. I was happy to have a nap. My wife says that I should just have switched seats and not said anything to make that woman uncomfortable. I think she needed to know that she was being rude."
