The Office US poised for huge comeback as cast member hints at possible reboot

More than a decade after The Office US ended, it has been revealed that the beloved sitcom could make a huge comeback, with a star from the show revealing she reckons most of the cast would be up for it.

Fans of the American sitcom, that documents the exploits of a paper supply company in Pennsylvania, will likely be overjoyed to learn that Steve Carell and John Krasinski could reprise their iconic characters of Michael and Jim for a hotly-anticipated possible reboot.

Melora Hardin, who is best known and loved for playing the role of Jan Levinson on the hit NBC show, has revealed that she has discussed plot ideas with show executive and writer Greg Daniels amid reboot claims. Speaking about the reboot, she revealed that she would "certainly show up".

Speaking to The US Sun, she said of a potential reboot: "That is up to Greg because he is the maestro. I would certainly show up. I think a lot of us would."

Melora did add that she wasn't sure if Steve would be up for it, but later added "I think he would", before adding she thinks it would be "super fun".

She went on to spill: "But I think it's going to have to be something special because otherwise why do it?

"We've already done an incredible series that people are watching and re-watching, and for generations. It's just still living and very iconic..."

Melora then added that she would "love" to make a spin-off movie because "then it would just be quick" and would be "so fun". She then affirmed: "I think we could bring everybody back for that."

Aside from her work on The Office US, Melora has a glowing career and has had many incredible film and TV credits. Melora has started in the likes of Monk and Transparent, as well as The Bold Type, 17 Again, and The Hot Chick.

This comes amid claims that the writer of The Office US, Greg, remains close to the cast of the hit show and "has discussed show options with Netflix and NBC brands", which follows on from the huge success the show has had - and continues to have - on streaming platforms.
