Taylor Swift has been brushing up on American football and diving into the NFL world as her relationship with Travis Kelce stays in the spotlight.

The couple's high-profile romance has sparked a sensation, mixing sports and entertainment. Swift has been spotted at 10 NFL games so far, with each sighting setting social media ablaze.

The pop star made her first appearance at a Kansas City Chiefs game back in September, and since then, she's become a familiar sight at Arrowhead Stadium. Brittany Mahomes, wife to two-time MVP quarterback Patrick, counts Swift among her friends while the 34-year-old also sits with Donna Kelce, Travis's mum.

Swift isn't just rubbing elbows with other players, but getting familiar with their families too. Pat Mahomes Sr., father to the Chiefs quarterback, shared that the singer has been learning more about the sport since dating Kelce. He claimed Netflix was a big help in familiarising Swift with the ins and outs of the game.

"She's down to earth," said Mahomes Sr. to Starcade Media. "I actually walked up and introduced myself to her and she said she knew who I was because she had watched the Quarterbacks series.

"She's down to earth and took a picture with me and my wife and also took a picture with me and my daughter so I mean she was genuine, every time I've hung out with her she just acts like a normal person."

Mahomes' dad revealed that Swift is a fan of the Netflix show 'Quarterbacks'. This series gives fans a peek into the lives of three NFL quarterbacks - Mahomes, Kirk Cousins, and Marcus Mariota - during the 2022 season and playoffs, showing their off-field lives.

In an interview with TIME last month, Swift opened up about her relationship with Kelce and her newfound love for football. She addressed the attention she gets from NFL broadcasts and responded to critics.

"I don't know how they know what suite I'm in," Swift said. "There's a camera, like, a half-mile away, and you don't know where it is, and you have no idea when the camera is putting you in the broadcast, so I don't know if I'm being shown 17 times or once. I'm just there to support Travis. I have no awareness of if I'm being shown too much and p***ing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads."

She also shared her thoughts on the sport, saying: "Football is awesome, it turns out. I've been missing out my whole life."

Kelce and the Chiefs are set to face off against the Buffalo Bills in the next round of the NFL playoffs at Highmark Stadium on Sunday, 21 January. It's likely that Swift will be there to cheer them on as they aim for another AFC Championship Game appearance.
