Meanwhile, academy graduate Rhys Williams has made a switch to Port Vale. There could potentially be even more deals completed over the coming days.

“It’s become part of the cycle of this sport and at some point it will be my turn to leave. I’m not worried about these changes. I’m simply thinking about continuing my career and following my own path."

Al-Ettifaq eye Firmino

Al-Ettifaq could potentially use the money that they save from Jordan Henderson’s exit to make a move for his former Liverpool team-mate Roberto Firmino. The former Reds captain is closing in on a move to Dutch side Ajax.

According to talkSPORT, Ettifaq will save around £8million should Henderson exit. They are eyeing Firmino, who is keen to move on from fellow Saudi side Al-Ahli.

It is suggested that the Brazilian is frustrated by his side’s system and the club would be willing to loan him out for the forthcoming season. Away from Firmino, Al-Ettifaq are also apparently interested in former Celtic star Jota.

Agent confirms Liverpool interest

The agent of Feyenoord defender David Hancko has confirmed that Liverpool are interested in him. Speaking to TN, Branislav Jasurek said: “As an agency, we are in contact not only with these two clubs (Liverpool and PSG), but also with others who are looking into David’s situation.

“I estimate that, 80 to 90 percent, David will stay in Rotterdam, because Feyenoord is fighting for the Champions League and the people at Feyenoord know that David Hancko will be sold even in the summer.

“It would have to be one of the big clubs. He will certainly not go from Feyenoord, which is going to play in the Champions League, to a club that will play in the bottom half of the Premier League.”
