Good Morning Britain presenter Ranvir Singh has opened up on her recent gain weight after her younger Strictly Come Dancing boyfriend moved in with her.

Ranvir, 46, split from her husband Ranjeet Singh Dehal in 2019 after seven years of marriage. Two years later she appeared as a contestant on BBC Strictly, where she met 28-year old Louis Church who works on the show's production team. Their relationship went from strength to strength, with mum-of-one Ranvir revealing the pair are now living together, along with her son, Tushaan. Now the ITV star has detailed her dieting and revealed an "annoying" habit of her new beau.

"I am a stone and a half overweight - it's my hangover from constantly eating when tired," she confessed to the Telegraph. "It's not just New Year when I decide to overhaul my diet and fitness regime - it's every Sunday night!" Ranvir continued: "I head to the local gym for an hour's spin class. I wish I hadn't given up dancing after Strictly, but it just didn't fit my day-to-day."

Louis, meanwhile, "always hits snooze" on the pair's alarm clock - much to Ranvir's frustration. "I try to talk myself back to sleep but it doesn’t always work. I get up, make a decaf tea and start chopping an onion for a dahl for lunch," she said. "Louis is terrible. He always hits snooze every ten minutes – it drives me mad!"

Ranvir also admitted her busy TV career has taken a toll on her personal life and Saturdays are "precious" to her as she gets time with her son. She also revealed Louis and Tushaan have a close bond, and they enjoy playing video games together. Ranvir and Louis went public at Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball at London’s O2 Arena.

In 2019 Ranvir left her fans and ITV viewers surprised when she casually dropped live on air that she was single. She told co-host Ben Shephard on air: "Well, I'm single," and confirmed she was no longer with Ranjeet.

Speaking about her boyfriend's age, Ranvir said: "We don’t ever joke about the age difference. Actually, age is no guarantee of someone being wonderful to you. There are complete gits who are exactly the same age as you. Age can define life experience, but that is only valuable if you've learned from it – it doesn't always mean you've got your life figured out." Summing up their relationship, she concluded in the Sun's Fabulous magazine: "There are things that he is better at than I am in terms of just being a good human being and I'm learning from him. So to me, it's a complete joy."
