The cast of Dancing On Ice have been getting prepared ahead of the first show of the series.

The ice skating competition returns on Sunday night, with host Holly Willoughby making her much-anticipated comeback to TV. All the stars have been getting ready to show off their moves in the hopes of impressing the judges and viewers at home. Coronation Street actor Ryan Thomas has been spotted getting a spray tan before he takes to the ice rink.

The soap star showed off his toned abs as he shared a snap on his social media ahead of the live show. Posing in the tan booth, Ryan wrote: "Best part about @dancingonice." While Claire Sweeney has also been getting camera-ready as she took time to relax with a face mask.

She quipped: "@dancingonice turning this trucker into a lady!" While athlete Greg Rutherford gave his followers a look inside his dressing room. He appeared to be feeling under the weather as he sipped on Lemsip. The Olympic gold medalist suffered a horror injury on his first day of training for Dancing On Ice.

Speaking to the Mirror and other press, he said: "Day one, it had to be bloody day one. We did the masterclass. We're all hanging out together, having a really good time and doing all these little skills and pushing each other around, just having a good time. We started to get probably a little bit overly excitable. Well I did, in particular, and decided that to try and win a race rather than skate, I'd just sprint on my on my toe picks."

He continued: "Then, I got a little bit too quick for my legs and absolutely hit the deck like no tomorrow and, I'll be totally honest, I thought I'd broken my hip. It was such a heavy impact and I think it's going to be shown on the first show how big a hit it was and I had this massive egg form on my hip."

Greg went on to say it was a "massive eye opener" for him and thought his Dancing On Ice stint was over before it has even begun. Sunday will see Greg, former boxer Ricky Hatton, S Club 7 star Hannah Spearritt, Love Island's Amber Davies, Emmerdale's Roxy Shahidi, Made In Chelsea star Miles Nazaire and former EastEnders actor Ricky Norwood take to the ice. They will also be joined by comedian Lou Sanders, Radio DJ Adele Roberts, soap icon Claire Sweeney and Emmerdale's Roxy Shahidi.
