Barry Keoghan's aunt has revealed there was a family ban in place over her nephew's latest film.

The Bafta-winning actor, was raised by his aunt Lorraine and had a bumpy childhood, being moved between 13 different foster homes. Although he made headlines recently due to his break up with dental nurse Alyson Kierans and going out with American singer Sabrina Carpenter, he prefers to keep quiet about his personal matters.

Aunt Lorraine told MailOnline: "He hasn't told me anything about that, and I've not met her yet, but there's some things he likes to keep private." She explained that Barry has set boundaries concerning his latest film, Saltburn.

She said: "There are also some things he doesn't want us knowing...or seeing. He's banned the whole family from watching Saltburn because there's a few racy scenes in it."

Even with his fame, Barry remains connected to his roots. He regularly has video calls with his nanny and visits Dublin now and then.

Barry has enjoyed huge success on the big screen and has been nominated for an Oscar. In a recent interview with GQ, he talked about his most remembered characters, including Oliver Quick from Saltburn.

The actor noted that when filming for Saltburn, he had recently become a dad with the birth of his son, Brando. Barry found himself often separated from the rest of the cast behind the scenes.

He shared: "They were staying elsewhere, while I was staying here. I was making hot milk and changing nappies, and they were at this hotel, hanging out a lot. So I kind of felt left out."

In a playful tone, he joked: "So I was like, 'I'm gonna get yous,'" before clarifying: "In the movie, obviously."

Saltburn viewers were left "traumatised" over one scene in particular as Barry's character Oliver's obsession with Jacob Elordi's Felix reaches new heights, following the latter pleasuring himself while in a bathtub.

One viewer tweeted: "Me watching Saltburn thinking it would be a cute romance movie and ending up traumatised," while another viewer commented: "So many things in that movie are permanently cemented into my head."

Another social media user wrote: "I miss the peace I felt before Saltburn."
