Ryanair launches huge sale with flights from £12.99 to Portugal, Spain and Italy

Ryanair has cut the price of more than one million seats by up to 30%, with flights up for grabs from £12.99 to the likes of Portugal, Italy and Spain.

Currently, the cheap flights are on offer for travel between January and April, but you'll need to book by midnight tonight (January 11) when the sale ends. Although there are discounts on one million seats it's worth noting that the cheapest fares are subject to availability.

The airline links 230 destinations across the world and flies from most major airports in the UK, so most Brits are within a relatively short drive or train ride to a flight to flight somewhere new.

According to the research, most UK travellers want to visit somewhere new in 2024, but more than one in three struggle when it comes to choosing where to go. As a result, Skyscanner has seen a 73% rise in the number of its customers using the "Everywhere" search tool, which shows you all the destinations you could book for the price range you've chosen.

For bargain hunters, there are other similar tricks you can use - for example one savvy holidaymaker discovered a Google cheat code which has helped her find some tempting deals on flights all over the world, which can easily be used if you have a specific window of dates in mind too.
