Wetherspoon is set to open its first ever pub at a holiday park after announcing a new deal with Haven.

The boozer will open at Haven Primrose Valley Holiday Park in North Yorkshire in March. Haven, which runs 38 parks in the UK and was acquired by Blackstone in 2021, is the first holiday provider to strike an “exclusive agreement” with Wetherspoon.

It comes as part of a £4million investment Haven is making into its food and beverage offerings in 2024. A spokesperson from Wetherspoon told the BBC it is looking to open more pubs in other Haven locations, but did not say which ones. Wetherspoon has 830 pubs in the UK.

Other food and drink chains already operating in Haven parks include Burger King, Papa Johns, Slim Chickens, Costa Coffee, Millie’s Cookies and Chopstix.

Peter Blake, Chief Operating Officer at Haven, said: “We are thrilled to be the first holiday provider to partner with one of the UK’s leading and much-loved pub operators. This new venture underlines our dedication to growing our food and beverage partnerships and offering for our holidaymakers and holiday home owners.”

Michael Barron, Commercial Director of Wetherspoon, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Haven and are confident that the pub will prove popular with holidaymakers.”

It comes after Wetherspoon announced a January sale, which is running now until Wednesday, January 17. The average sale prices include a pint of Bud Light at £1.99, a pint of Doom Bar at £1.99, a classic cocktail at £2.99, a bottle of Beck's Blue at £1.49, Pepsi Max (14oz) at £1.49 and Lavazza coffee, tea and hot chocolate (with free refills) at £1.29.

Customers can also enjoy savings on food too, with a small breakfast - which includes a fried egg, bacon, sausage, baked beans and toast - costing £1.99. There will also be a selection of burgers included in the sale, which will be reduced to £4.99 with a soft drink and £6.46 with an alcoholic drink.

The January sale will be available across all Wetherspoon pubs. You can find your local boozer by using the Wetherspoon pub finder tool. As always, be Drinkaware this and drink responsibly.
