Dancing On Ice's 2024 line-up has been revealed - with a boxing legend, Coronation Street icon and huge 90s pop star joining the show starting this weekend
The much-loved ITV show returns for a brand new series on Sunday night - along with a new presenter after former host Phillip Schofield stepped down after quitting ITV and all of his TV commitments. Holly Willoughby has agreed to make her TV comeback next month and resume her role as a Dancing On Ice host.
ITV bosses are said to be "delighted" that Holly is ready to return to work and host a national TV show once again, after quitting her job as This Morning anchor back in October after she learned of an alleged plot to kidnap and murder her. The presenter will be joined by Stephen Mulhern as her new co-host - although the pair have worked together before. An insider told The Mirror: "ITV are delighted to have Holly back. Stephen is a good friend of hers too so she will enjoy working with him again."
The list of celebs taking part has finally been confirmed - with 12 big names completing the line-up. From soap stars to singing sensations, the new series of Dancing On Ice has it all. Here, The Mirror takes a look at who has been confirmed for the show.
Ryan Thomas
The actor will be getting dance tips from his brother Adam (ITV)Former Coronation Street star Ryan Thomas will be joining the line-up for this year's show. The 39-year-old's actor brother Adam competed on BBC One's Strictly Come Dancing last year so they will be able to swap dancing tips with each other. Ryan appeared on Steph's Packed Lunch with Roxy Shahidi to confirm the exciting news.

Roxy Shahidi
Roxy has admitted the show feels 'scary' (ITV)Emmerdale legend Roxy Shahidi was excited to announce she is joining the line-up up for the next series of Dancing on Ice. The 40-year-old actress is known for playing Leyla Harding in the long-running soap. She first appeared on the series from 2008 to 2011 and returned to the series in 2013. Revealing the news exclusively on Steph’s Packed Lunch, Roxy said: “I’m an actor hiding behind a character that’s where I’m most comfortable.
"Being yourself out there on the ice with no character to hide behind is really scary for me. I’d say that’s the scariest element for me.” She is also a qualified yoga teacher which could give her a great advantage in the series.
Adele Roberts
Adele Roberts can't wait to take to the ice with pro partner Mark Hanretty (ITV)The programme announced that radio star Adele Roberts was the tenth contestant for the new series. Revealing the news exclusively on Lorraine, Adele revealed: “It's ‘bricking it on ice’ for me! I think the hardest part is putting myself out there as I usually hide away.
"I did radio as it's not visual. That’s going to be a big challenge. After cancer I have my life back; I actually can’t wait for the glam!” Adele joined the BBC in 2012 as a presenter on BBC Radio 1Xtra. She then joined Radio 1 in 2015 as an Early Breakfast show host - following in the very successful footsteps of Dev, Chris Moyles and Scott Mills.
The much-loved radio presenter then joined the Weekend Breakfast Show in 2020 as part of a huge BBC shake-up. However, she recorded her final show several months ago and left to pursue new projects. The star has a lot of television experience as she previously appeared on Big Brother, I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! and Celebrity Coach Trip.
Ricky Norwood
Ricky says he is going to 'trust the process' (ITV)Dancing On Ice revealed an iconic EastEnders star as the ninth contestant for its 2024 series. Ricky Norwood, who played Fatboy, shared the exciting news when he rocked up on Loose Women. He told the hosts he's 'apprehensive' about the lifts, particularly the headbanger. "I've got to trust in the process, trust in the training, trust in the trainers," he quipped following the announcement.
"It's come at such a great time. I've not done any rehearsals just yet, just physiotherapy exercises to do to strengthen the muscles," Ricky added. The EastEnders star also said he agreed to do the competition because it was 'something that scared him' and that it felt like a 'massive challenge'.
Ricky Hatton
Ricky Hatton will be taking to the ice (ITV)Ricky Hatton was the first star to be confirmed for the upcoming series on Dancing On Ice. He appeared on This Morning in late September to announce he'd be joining the show, revealing how his boxing career would help him on the ice. Speaking about why he decided to do the show this time around, he said of his reasoning: "I like setting new challenges for myself. It was well documented that I struggled when I retired from boxing amongst a few other things.
"I'm trying to do my bit for mental health. When I retired I was sat there with nothing to do and my world fell apart a little bit. It's all about keeping busy and doing things that are positive and new adventures!"
Claire Sweeney
Soap star Claire is excited for the show (ITV)Soap star, and current Coronation Street actress, Claire Sweeney was the second name to be confirmed for the new series. She is currently starring as Cassie Plumber in the ITV soap, but she is also well known amongst TV fans for her role in Brookside. Speaking about her new venture, Claire – who plays Tyrone's mum on the ITV soap – said: "I'm really looking forward to going to an ice rink with my son and actually being able to skate and not have to use the penguins they give you to help you stay upright! I've had to wear my boots around the house... I haven't stepped on the ice yet."

Hannah Spearritt
Hannah will be showing off her moves on the ice (ITV)Former S Club star has had her own share of personal heartache recently, but she has signed up for Dancing on Ice 2024. She quit the pop group following the tragic passing of her bandmate, Paul Cattermole last year. "I'm really excited about learning a new skill. It's so easy to live your comfortable life and that aspect of mixing things up is very appealing. Fitness is another reason why I’m doing it! It's really exciting," she said of the news.
Amber Davies
Love Island star Amber was confirmed on Lorraine (ITV)Love Island star Amber was confirmed on Lorraine, after her success in the West End. She said of taking part, and following in the footsteps of other Islanders: "I would definitely say that I'm an adrenaline junkie but I do get more nervous as I get older and I hope that I can contain them, I don't want the adrenalin to get the better of me. I can count on one hand how many times I've ice skated."
Greg Rutherford
Greg is taking on the Dancing On Ice challenge (ITV)Olympic Champion and Presenter Greg Rutherford MBE was the is fifth celebrity confirmed to be taking part in the new series of Dancing on Ice. Revealing the news exclusively on Good Morning Britain, Greg said: "My kids love dancing around so hopefully they are going to enjoy watching me dance with blades on my feet!
"I think this is going to be a really different experience but one that will be quite exciting. I like a challenge and I needed a reason to go out and do stuff again and here we are. I want to perform something that's never been done before, that's my aim. I'll go 100,000% on this. I'll try hard, I'm in no way expecting to be good but I will work as hard as I can."
Miles Nazaire
Miles Nazaire has a love of dancing (ITV)Made In Chelsea star Miles Nazaire will be taking part in the new series of the ITV show. He is hoping his love of dance will help him through, but admits that ice skating is a whole different ball game. "I've always loved to dance but it’s usually on a dance floor on a Saturday night and Dancing on Ice looks so difficult. I keep thinking about how I’m going to need to have rhythm while balancing on a thin blade and that's when I feel the nerves kick in, but this is such an unbelievable opportunity to get totally out of my comfort zone," he explained.
Lou Sanders
The comedian is nervous about getting an injury (ITV)Comedian and writer Lou Sanders has signed up for Dancing On Ice. As well as winning Taskmaster in 2019, she has appeared in multiple comedy shows including 8 Out of 10 Cats, Richard Osman's House of Games, Would I Lie To You? and CelebAbility. Speaking about joining Dancing On Ice, she said: "I’m nervous about cracking my head open, or just bashing the old head. I can’t afford to lose any more brain cells. I’m also worried about my partner picking me up, he’s going to have to be very strong and very brave."
Eddie 'The Eagle' Edwards
Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards came in as a replacement for a Gogglebox star (ITV)The Olympian has joined the lineup as he replaced former Gogglebox star Stephen Lustig-Webb, who had to drop out of the competition due to an injury. Eddie said he is "delighted" to be taking part series after becoming the first athlete to represent Team GB in ski jumping in 1998. He said: "I'm delighted to be taking part in the new series, I'm gutted for Stephen and wish him a speedy recovery. Dancing on Ice is a show I've always wanted to do. It's a challenge I think I'm going to relish!"
